Teacher-Led & Values Driven Hillside Gems is led by Susie and Adam, both qualified teachers with Degrees and QTS, bringing expertise in curriculum, teaching, and SEND. Together, they weave the 5 Gems Values into daily life, ensuring every child grows with confidence, kindness, and a strong foundation for learning.
Story-Centred Planning ​Our story-centred curriculum uses high-quality texts and purposeful storytelling to support communication, emotional development and deeper thinking across all areas of learning.
Playful Learning Mindset We instil the value of playful learning in staff and children, fostering creativity, curiosity and imagination while nurturing essential skills in a joyful environment.
